But today we’re going to talk about what YOU can do to have great wedding photos!
5 TOP TIPS for great wedding photos
There is a lot you can do to have great wedding photos, actually. This blog post starts a short series about some useful wedding related tips on what YOU can do to have some really amazing images from your wedding day.
1) Find the right photographer for you
First of all, and this is very important, choose the photographer you really like and trust. Only then you will have some really amazing pictures from your wedding day because you won’t have to worry about your wedding photographer. That’s why the initial consultation with your photographer is so important, or at least a Zoom or telephone conversation. Try to get to know them a little bit too and this will result in you looking a lot more relaxed in your wedding pictures.
YOUR WEDDING MORNING
Now, let’s focus a little bit more about the morning preparations. I have already written a separate blog post about that part of the wedding day here: Bridal preparations – your wedding morning
Let’s just add a couple of the most important tips here:
2) Get some rest the night before
Have a proper rest before your wedding day, go to bed early! You’ll need that energy for the dance floor! This is going to be the best party ever – and you’ve been planning everything for so long – so OWN that dance floor!
3) Prepare your room
Make sure the room in which you are getting ready is clean and tidy. You don’t want any plastic bags from your supermarket to be visible on your wedding pictures, right? Really think about it and hide all the socks, empty shoe boxes and any other unnecessary and distracting items. Make it pretty and ready for those great wedding photos!
4) Plan your morning
If you want some professional pictures of your rings or anything else that is important to you – just put them in one place to avoid rushing and looking for them on your wedding morning. Being organized helps people relax because they have a lot more time for everything.
5) Just have fun
Really enjoy the moment – enjoy your getting ready. This is your day, your moment. And you get to spend it with your best friends and with your family. Drink that champagne, enjoy that pampering hair & makeup session, the day just goes so fast.
Bonus tip
Have a proper rest before your wedding day, go to bed early! No late night parties – be good – the more energy you save, the more you will be able to enjoy your day!
Hope you’ve found it useful. In my next post I will write about the wedding ceremony – you can do so much to have some great wedding photos from that part of the day too!
