Beautiful Crumplebury Wedding Photography | The Mays (Marta + Artur)

Crumplebury wedding photography is perfect if you want something “anything but ordinary” – a bold modern venue on the Herefordshire–Worcestershire border with big skies, dramatic architecture, and loads of space for real moments to happen.

We’re Marta May Photography – also known as The Mays (Marta + Artur). We shoot in a DOCU-ART style: candid documentary moments first, with relaxed cinematic portraits (no awkward posing). We’re TWIA National Winners (2023) and now TWIA judges.

QUICK ANSWER

Crumplebury works brilliantly for documentary wedding photography because the venue is designed for atmosphere: huge windows in The Gallery, the Sunken Terrace + Drinking Trough for social energy, and the option of a proper woodland ceremony in Longfield Wood.

The Crumplebury Photo Plan (how to get the best photos without missing the fun)

Crumplebury is one of those venues where the best photos come from letting the day breathe. Here’s how we normally plan it so you get the “wow” shots and the real story, without turning your wedding into a photoshoot:

1. Ceremony light (Gallery / Great Barn)
We’ll guide tiny positioning tweaks so both of you stay beautifully lit and your guests’ reactions are easy to capture.

2. Drinks that feel alive (Sunken Terrace + Drinking Trough)
This is documentary gold – hugs, chaos, laughter, and people actually connecting.

3. The 10-minute portrait wander
We steal you for a genuinely quick wander (not an hour). One dramatic architectural spot + one “open sky” countryside spot, then straight back to your guests.

4. If you’re doing Longfield Wood… go all-in
The woodland ceremony space is unreal and photographs like a film set (especially in spring and autumn).
