Villa Podernovo is a cozy 18th-century holiday spot in Tuscany, complete with a pool and located near Siena, right in the heart of the Tuscan countryside. It’s the perfect getaway for some chill time in this gorgeous region.
You’ll find plenty of charming hilltop medieval villages and untouched little hamlets, plus relaxing views and lovely winding lanes that cut through the lush countryside. This area is packed with history, and some must-see spots include the amazing San Galgano Abbey and the Hermitage of Montesiepi, where you can still check out the legendary ‘Sword in the Stone’ that’s been around for centuries. The scenery here is super picturesque and feels wonderfully authentic.
It’s also a lovely villa for weddings in Tuscany, making it a great spot for intimate, romantic, and stylish rural-chic wedding celebrations. Both San Galgano Abbey and the Hermitage of Montesiepi are outstanding wedding venues, so this villa is the perfect place for your unforgettable celebration.

Real wedding at Villa Podernovo
The wedding we photographed was truly special because of the people. A smaller group of friends and family with an exceptional bond. We LOVED documenting those special moments for them.
The happiness was everywhere, with laughter blending perfectly with joyful tears. Each snap we took showed the realness of their bonds, highlighting how love and friendship mix in such awesome ways. The warm Tuscan light wrapped everything in a cozy glow, making their celebration feel magical.
As the night fell, we caught some amazing moments during sunset – couples sneaking kisses and kids spinning around under the stars. At Villa Podernovo, every little detail counted, from the charming decor to those fun dance-offs. We were super excited to be part of their love story, capturing memories one shot at a time!
The day before…
We used that golden hour to create some magical pictures from the time the couple was still engaged. We explored the villa’s stunning surroundings, where rolling hills and the vibrant sunset painted the perfect backdrop. The couple laughed and danced, completely lost in their love. We seized every spontaneous moment, and we knew they’d cherish these images for years to come – moments frozen in time that would evoke joy and nostalgia long after their special day.
Getting ready
Both our bride and groom got ready in the amazing rooms at Villa Podernovo. On a hot sunny day in July the rooms felt pleasantly cool which was amazing.
As the bride put on her gorgeous gown, her laughter bounced around the villa, and she had some sweet moments with her mom and friends too. The groom was having a blast with his groomsmen, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves in the air. With every snap of our camera, we caught those genuine looks and warm smiles that shared their special story. The energy was buzzing, filled with love and anticipation. Each moment felt like a little glimpse into their amazing journey that was about to begin.

Such a hot and sunny day required lots of white parasols for the wedding guests.
As the ceremony at San Galgano Abbey kicked off, the vibe was amazing. Guests were hanging out in the shade under those cute white parasols, their laughter bouncing off the ancient stone walls. The couple shared some super heartfelt vows that really hit home for everyone there, creating a special bond that felt timeless. With every word, emotions ran high – tears of joy mixed with big smiles everywhere. It was a lovely reminder that love really has no limits, especially in such a magical place!
Confetti Moment

As the couple walked out of the abbey, a flurry of classy white confetti burst around them, turning the moment into a lively party full of joy. Guests cheered, as we kept clicking away, freezing those moments while laughter and love floated in the air. The bright colors sparkled in the sunlight, making it feel like something straight out of a romantic flick.

After that, we headed back inside to chill in the shade, soaking up the cooler air and avoiding any squinting in the pics. We rounded up the crew for some fun group shots, friends and family hugging it out and flashing smiles that said it all. With the gorgeous San Galgano Abbey behind us, we goofed around with poses, snapping not just faces but the vibe of their connections. Laughter filled the air as they shared old stories, mixing joy and nostalgia perfectly.

The couple’s pics at San Galgano Abbey were totally magical. With the gorgeous ancient stones and the soft Tuscan light giving everything a warm vibe, each shot had its own story. And then everybody made their way back to Villa Podernovo for some refreshing reception drinks.
When guests rolled up to Villa Podernovo, the place was buzzing with excitement and chatter. The sun was setting, giving everything a cozy glow, while laughter mixed with the sound of clinking glasses. Everyone was enjoying yummy cocktails and local wines, raising their glasses to love and friendship, and munching on delicious hors d’oeuvres that highlighted the area’s food scene.
The vibe was chill yet happy, setting the perfect mood for the night’s festivities. With every smile and meaningful chat, we captured those moments that would turn into cherished memories – each click of our camera reflecting the festive spirit that filled the air!
Alfresco Dining and the Speeches
This is the life, right? Everybody who loves Italian style weddings, dreams about this moment. Alfresco dining in the garden – beautiful food, incredible views and hearfelt speeches.
As the sun set behind the trees, painting the garden in warm gold, friends and family gathered around tables decked out with fairy lights and lovely flowers. Laughter filled the air as some heartfelt speeches got everyone a bit emotional and sparked great memories. Each toast brought up stories of love, friendship, and all the amazing times shared over the years.
The tasty Italian food added to the magic, making everyone savor every single bite. With Villa Podernovo in the background, the evening felt like a fairytale celebration, capturing all the joy and connection – an awesome kickoff to an unforgettable night of dancing under the stars!
Couple Pictures
And of course we had to borrow our couple for a few pictures when that golden hour arrived.
The soft light wrapped around them in a warm glow as they walked hand in hand through the beautiful gardens, their laughter filling the air. With amazing views of rolling hills and cute little spots, each shot turned into a lovely memory they’ll want to keep forever.
The first dance and the evening
And then it was time for cake cutting and the first dance under the stars…
The sparkling fairy lights lit up the place, making it feel super cozy and totally blissful. Friends and family were all around, clapping and spreading good vibes. When it was time to cut the cake, everyone burst into laughter as they smeared frosting on each other’s noses. Every slice brought cheers and grinning faces, perfectly capturing the fun of the celebration at Villa Podernovo.
The day after…
And then we were invited for a pizza party the day after too. Waking up to that post-wedding glow, the vibe was still alive and kicking.
People were chilling by the pool behind the villa, enjoying drinks and swapping stories from last night. Laughter filled Villa Podernovo as they dug into a tasty homemade pizza feast, uniting everyone for one last hurrah. With the sun beaming down on this beautiful villa, it was obvious: love sticks around; it shows in every smile and happy memory created here in Tuscany!
