Water’s Edge wedding venue, Cirencester

Water’s Edge is tucked away in the charming village of Ewen, just a hop away from Cirencester, Gloucestershire. With its stylish interiors featuring lovely panelled walls and whimsical wallpaper, it totally gives off a vibe of sophistication and classic charm.

The main room, famous for its stunning fireplace, is the ideal spot for wedding ceremonies. Plus, it’s super versatile, making it easy to transition from the ceremony to the wedding breakfast and then on to the evening festivities. Right next to it, the foyer is a lovely spot for guests to hang out after the ceremony, leading them to our beautiful courtyard. Here, with plenty of seating, tables, a comfy fire pit, and a gorgeous old olive tree, everyone can relax and enjoy the celebration.

1. The lakeside ceremony spot (quiet, emotional, natural framing)
2. The woodland walk down to the lakes (movement + storytelling)

5. The bar/lounge area (warm candids, guests actually living)

Here are a few things you should know about Waters Edge Ewen wedding photography

1. If you want a drone coverage of your wedding day, you need to get in touch with the airport. Our couple requested a drone coverage as a part of their wedding video and we got permission from the airport before the day. But also on the day we had to ring them just before we started flying our drone and then again just after we finished. So please remember that if you’re planning some drone pictures or videos on your day. 

2. The gardens and woodland area with little moats and lakes are just a stunning backdrop for your Water’s Edge Ewen wedding photography. It is a truly unique spot, not like any other Gloucestershire wedding venue! 

3. Besides the stunning views, timing is super important for getting the magic of your big day just right. Be sure to carve out some chill time in your schedule; it gives us a chance to sneak off for those dreamy couple shots among the beautiful gardens or peaceful lakes. Know what time the golden hour starts and add a bit more time for a little walk back to the gardens. As photographers we’ll find the best spots for you – as sometimes the tall trees at Water’s Edge block that light so we have to be clever because of that.

4. The main spaces at the venue are just amazing – both the main room, the courtyard AND the separate bar area offer so much space for you and your wedding guests creating the best backdrops for your wedding pictures. Also, if the weather’s nice, those outdoor pics by the lakes give you stunning views that’ll really make your wedding album pop. Go with the flow! Often, the coolest photos come from the surprise moments. Believe us; we’ll be ready to capture every happy second as it happens!

5. Their outdoor wedding ceremonies take place in their lovely garden, surrounded by beautiful trees and a bit of wildlife. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, they’ve got a backup plan with a temporary open-sided petal pole stretch tent. Waters Edge Ewen wedding photography is all about capturing those genuine, heartfelt moments that happen throughout the day. And don’t forget, laughter spreads easily; when you’re having a blast, your photos will show that joy perfectly. 

Real wedding at Water’s Edge Ewen

Our couple got married in Germany and chose to have a blessing in the bride’s family church nearby. Then they traveled to Water’s Edge for their reception drinks and the rest of their amazing day. You have to know that as photographers, we thrive on spontaneity – so don’t worry if things don’t go exactly as planned! Soak in those surprise moments; they usually become the best memories. And don’t forget, each laugh and tear adds to your awesome story. Just chill and enjoy every moment, and we’ll do the rest.

Reception drinks and group pictures

At the reception drinks, the vibe was all about excitement and laughter, creating the best mood for the night. Guests were hanging out in the gorgeous courtyard, enjoying some bubbly and taking in the amazing sights of the gardens and lakes. Don’t forget to soak up this moment; it’s when real connections come alive! When you’re gearing up for your couple shoot, it’s all about planning, but sometimes going with the flow brings out the best shots. We love taking you to those secret spots in the gardens or by the peaceful lakes, where the light shines just perfectly. Soak in every moment and let us snap away. The more chill and genuine you are, the prettier your photos will be! So, whether you’re snuggling up by that old olive tree or spinning around in the courtyard, count on us to catch every lovely detail for you.

Wedding breakfast and the speeches

As you dig into the wedding breakfast, the vibe is supercharged with excitement. Guests will be chatting away over tasty food, swapping stories and laughs, while we snap those genuine reactions during the speeches. The evening

The evening festivities at Water’s Edge Ewen are where the real fun happens. With sparkling fairy lights and a vibrant dance floor, the vibe is electric. We totally enjoy snapping those impromptu dance moves, marsmallows by the firepits and the laughter shared with friends and family. Go ahead and dive into the music and connections of the night.
