We are TWIA best wedding photographers! TWIA – the wedding industry awards – was set up to recognize excellent wedding suppliers and back in 2018 we were voted the best wedding photographers in the West Midlands region. It took us a while to write about it but we got there in the end.
It feels quite strange to write about accolades and awards but on the other hand we think it is important to do it. Awards mean we are doing something right. TWIA Best wedding photographers is not the only award we received but it is the only regional and national voted award. We are so grateful to all our amazing couples who left those awesome reviews and we just have to share them with you!
They caught the atmosphere in each image
We fell in love with The Mays photographs from the moment we saw them. We felt they captured really natural moments from the day and caught the atmosphere in each image perfectly. They were so polite, friendly and funny and made us feel ease from the moment we met them and on the day that fit effortlessly into our day, sometimes not even noticing they were capturing moments until we looked back on the photographs. The photos were delivered to us so professionally and showed love and care.
Our photos are outstanding!
Right from the outset Marta and Artur were absolutely amazing, they made us feel like ours was their only wedding! They always replied to us promptly and suggested things to us that we wouldn’t have thought of. They were very involved beforehand meeting us at the venue and coming to our rehearsal. On the day they were amazing and our photos are outstanding! Everyone comments on how beautiful our photos are.
They organized the day without being intrusive
We would recommend The Mays without hesitation. When we first met them we found them to be warm, welcoming and honest. After talking through our thoughts for our day they came up with some lovely ideas that we had not considered. Everyone at our wedding were complimentary about them and they organised the whole day without being intrusive or too structured, it all felt so natural. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to my friends or anybody who is looking for amazing photographers.
They really capture all the different emotions throughout the day
Marta and Artur were always friendly and professional from the moment we sent them an enquiry, and they went out of their way to meet us at our wedding venues to help us decide where to take the best pictures. The quality of their images is stunning and they really capture all the different emotions and throughout the day. They were happy to take ‘traditional’ portraits and group pictures of the family, as well as some really unique and artistic pictures of us as a couple. I would highly recommend The Mays to anyone!
This showed their passion and love for their work
We loved their photography style & wanted to get them booked up quickly, but Marta insisted we didn’t pay a deposit until we had met, seen their style, and discussed what we wanted. This showed their passion and love for their work. Our photos are incredible and so many people have commented how they capture the emotion, story and magic of the day perfectly. Their work is unique; innovative, imaginative, and fearless. They create art with their photography and make use of the surroundings incredibly well.
Our gallery was out of this world!
We COULD NOT have wished for better photographers. From start to finish they were faultless! They made the wedding day even more amazing than it already was as they were like part of the family. There were lots of special little touches throughout the journey from booking to getting our photos. Our gallery was out of this world! They were so creative and managed to get some really unique pictures. Everyone who’s seen them says just how well they capture the day – like reliving it all over again!

The moment we met Marta and Artur we felt that we had found the perfect photographers to capture our special day and they certainly didn’t disappoint. Through the whole process, Marta & Artur have been amazing! On the day they both made us feel so at ease & they were so warm & friendly. I was quite nervous about having my photo taken but when I saw the photos that they had taken I was so overwhelmed. They captured something much more than a pretty photograph; they seemed to capture the spirit, laughter and love of our day in such a beautiful way! Marta and Artur are the most incredible photographers, not only is their work beautiful but they are wonderful people. They are so passionate, hardworking and knowledgeable striving to capture every moment of our day. We have over 1100 photographs of our loved ones that are so very special to us. The range of shots from individuals to groups and our couple shots are all second to none. Even when planning became stressful they always reassured us and kept us calm with advice, tea and chocolate.

They capture natural moments through the day
Marta and Artur are super friendly, creative and we had a wide range of photos in different styles to pick from to remember our day. They capture natural moments through the day, which make it possible for us to look back and see the wedding from our guests perspectives. The colours of the photos really suited my taste, and I felt the composition and angles they had taken were really considered.
They got so involved in the wedding, the party and the dancing.
From first contact and meeting the mays they were professional, friendly, relaxing and reassuring. Marta and Artur always answered my emails promptly, never seemed annoyed at my endless questions, were so flexible with our engagement shoot. On the day they made everyone feel so welcome and comfortable, they were there but they weren’t that visible or obstructive. They got so involved in the wedding the party and the dancing it was amazing. The photos are just amazing, so many, so well finished.

Marta and Artur are able to capture beautiful moments, whilst maintaining the genuineness of the day. We booked The Mays because we loved how their images felt. They have this way of not just photographing that moment, they capture how it felt – the joy and nerves and laughter. How amazing it felt standing in that little sliver of sunshine during golden hour outside of the barn, laughing. I look at my images constantly, the feeling hasn’t worn off. I can’t stress enough how wonderful they are.

Marta and Artur were absolutely outstanding. Nothing was ever too much for them and they really were the most wonderful people to be around. Throughout the process they guided us, put us at ease and always put us first. For example, during our wedding they quickly grabbed us because they had seen some beautiful lighting that they thought would make the perfect shot – they really did all they could to get us the best photographs possible at our wedding and engagement shoot and we will always recommend them!
The photographer was the only thing I felt truly relaxed about
Marta and Arthur are absolutely fantastic! From our first meeting they made us feel completely relaxed and we knew they was the ones for us. We were even convinced to get married on a Sunday rather than a Saturday because they were already booked on the Saturday. I stressed a lot before the wedding but the photographer was the only thing I felt truly relaxed about. I knew they would do a fantastic job! I hope we get to stay in touch.
They took what we said seriously
Marta & Artur were amazing from the start, they were so easy to communicate with and very happy to talk about all anything we wanted to. They were very interested in our hopes for our wedding photos and I felt they took what we said seriously. On the day they were amazing, so many people commented on how ‘they were everywhere’ but blended in so well and never felt intrusive at all. They are so easy to get along with and I wouldn’t hesitate recommending them to anyone.

Absolutely amazing from start to finish. We can’t thank Marta and her husband enough. Very efficient and friendly. Made us and our guests feel at ease. Nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic communication and build up to the wedding. We knew what to expect and they understood what kind of photographs we wanted taken on our special day. Their work is absolutely fantastic and stands out from many other photographers. They worked so hard on our wedding day!

Marta and Artur were absolutely fantastic from start to finish, they are so friendly and loving and want to get to know you as much as possible from the outset. Myself and my husband aren’t too keen on posing for the camera, but their style, tricks and tips helped us greatly which made the wedding photos an absolute breeze. I am so happy with our pictures, they are all so clever and creative! I cannot recommend them enough, their care and passion bursts out of every photo!
