Meet MARTA
Marta’s the hugger of the team. An infectious giggler, multi-lingual Marta loves freedom, films meant for kids (don’t get her started on the Moana soundtrack!) and hiking in the mountains.

So much goes into the photography of a wedding, but for Marta it’s the early stages of the process and the chance for a cuppa and a good old chat to get to know you that really make her tick.

She’s got an excellent memory for names and faces, and a real ability to capture joy on her camera.
MEET Artur
A man of few words, Artur is incredibly observant and able to find killer compositions in pretty much any space (as you can see on the attached picture).

An outdoorsman and a treasure hunter (ask him about his trusty metal detector), Artur loves discovering new things (or very old things, for that matter), and piecing together their stories.

Well, we’re Marta & Artur – many people smile when they hear that and sometimes we even get the “aaaaawwwh” sound.

Artur is pronounced R2 – yep, like a Star Wars droid, and this is exactly how they used to put his name on the employers’ list in his previous job.

Marta is Marta, but Artur also calls her GINA (after Gina Davies, because of dimples) and our son calls her Shamrock (don’t ask why, lol).

Well, we edit…. and our cat loves interrupting us by placing herself comfortably between Marta and the keyboard! This is THE ONLY TIME our cat allows us to pet her.

Other than that we spend most of out time trying to fight our way up and away from the computer screen to save our precious eyes! And quite often we fail miserably.

Constantine, John Wick, The Office, Lost, The Martian, Minions, Blue Eye Samurai, Never-Ending Story, Dirty Dancing, Fight Club, Alien, Twin Peaks, Blade Runner, just to name a few…

We both have a Master of Science degree – Marta is a Biochemist (and also holds a postgraduate diploma in Human Nutrition) and Artur is a Microbiologist.

At nearly every wedding we also get asked about our accent. So we always ask back ‘what do you think’. Many people say Germany, The Netherands (but others just laugh and say that Marta is just too short to be Dutch), Sweden, I even had one vote for Canada.

I’m super curious to find out what you think when we finally have that Zoom chat!

Well, our DNA test also says… Finland, Sweden, Baltic Countries, Europe West and even Ireland, so that’s an interesting mix….

Well, we once owned a furniture shop in the land of Ikea! And seeing elks just walking down the snowy street was a normal sight for us! So beautiful! LOVED it!

We both worked in the European Commission in Brussels. Marta worked in DG Health & Consumer Protection and Artur in DG Research.

Our UK jobs included: dealing with imports/exports, sales ledgers (Marta) and even designing and building huge refrigeration packs (Artur).

This is a big one but if we could pick JUST ONE reason it would be PEOPLE.

We LOVE witnessing and capturing the happiness, the interactions and the characters that all played a part in your wedding day!

We LOVE all the joy, fun and laughter at weddings, and also all the emotions. We LOVE being able to capture the feeling, the moments and also the voices. Would you like to hear your grandparents voices and how they laughed and danced on their own wedding day? We capture just that for your grandkids!

We’re Cotswolds wedding photographers based in Hereford, UK, we work as a team when shooting weddings, and we’ve shot nearly 500 together!

Working with two photographers will always result in a more interesting selection of images, because you’ve got two brains, four eyes and two points of view whirring away on the job.
